Cosmetic tattooing is the process of depositing pigment into the superficial layers of the skin, using a fine blade or needle. It is a semi-permanent form of tattooing designed to naturally enhance the facial features.
+ Which style of tattooing is best for me?
There are a few different styles of eyebrow tattooing. The results of each style can vary depending on skin type, hair growth, face shape and other variables. I recommend all clients book in for a consultation prior to the tattoo appointment, to discuss the best option going forward.

The treatment can cause mild discomfort for some, as every individual has a different pain threshold. However, anaesthetic is applied throughout the treatment, to make it as comfortable as possible.

+ What do I do before the procedure?
Prior to your appointment it is imperative that you follow a few guidelines:
- Do not consume caffeine on the day of your appointment, as it increases blood flow.
- Do not participate in any form of strenuous exercise as this too increases blood flow.
- Please remove any fake tan on your face at least one week before your appointment as any residue can affect the colour of your tattoo.
- Stop using any active skin care on your brows (for e.g. retinol/ AHAs) as it will increase sensitivity.
- If you’re supplementing with any fish oil or taking aspirin, please stop taking these, at least one week prior to your tattoo as these are blood thinners.
